Our favorite spot in town for sunset hikes, the Arboretum has 17 miles of trails through forests, prairies, and wetlands.

Devils Lake State Park

Neat rock formations and 500-foot quartzite bluffs that overlook a pristine lake. Many hiking trails and two beaches.

Saturday mornings on the square are perfect for finding locally-produced fruits, vegetables, and cheese. We recommend the spicy cheese bread from Stella's Bakery.

Henry Vilas Zoo

Free to visit! Brock's favorite part is the reptiles and amphibians, and Emily loves the aviary. There is also a nice beach in nearby Vilas Park.
